As a copywriter at Cars, I write search-engine-optimized copy for
automotive dealerships all over the country.
I consistently write to a high editorial standard
and have been tapped for two special projects
in the first six months of employment.
I began my SEO copywriting career as Click Here's first content
writer under the SEO department. I worked with automotive,
legal, and other clients, and helped our largest legal client
overhaul their SEO strategy.
During my tenure,
I had the opportunity to mentor and supervise one
full-time copywriter as well as a college intern. As the Senior
Content Writer on staff, I also developed content guidelines, wrote
under our own brand, and edited others' writing.
Library Technician II:
After my promotion, I worked in both the Career Center and the
Reference Department at the main branch of the library.
I helped patrons write and edit their résumés and apply for jobs, and I
researched and answered patron questions about our collection, hours,
and basically anything else.
Library Technician I:
As a staff member of the Outreach Department, I drove one of four
bookmobiles to EBR Parish daycares and senior centers. I
provided immersive story times for local preschool
students, represented the library at public events, and
performed various clerical functions. I also developed an internal
system for efficiently selecting books for 140 pre&school centers each
month.
I was the first employee S & S Printing had ever hired, so I served
as more than just a press operator. Alongside operating
the digital press and other machines required to finish each job,
I performed customer service tasks,
communicated with clients about job progress,
managed operations while the owner was away,
and even delivered finished products.
Notably, I developed an online order form to
expediate repeat orders for our largest client.
While pursuing an MFA in Creative Writing from NAU, I taught a class in
English composition each semester and tutored in the university's
Writing Center. I was given nearly free reign on course design,
and developed my own syllabus, lesson plans, rubrics, and classroom
policies. I also edited students' work, coached them on their
writing, facilitated group workshop sessions, graded papers, and
collaborated with other GTAs to develop materials.
